Reasons to Support

Charles County Youth Orchestra

  • Since 2012, Charles County Youth Orchestra has gained an enviable reputation for the range of performance opportunities and training of young musicians in the art of orchestral playing. In addition to concerts, students have the opportunity to perform to study with guest coaches, perform as part of the Davies Concert Series, and at many community events.

  • As part of a superb training, students experience development in the area of leadership abilities, time management, and critical thinking skills.

  • CCYO allows students to study under exceptional directors, who bring decades of artistic training and experience to each rehearsal.

  • Alumni of Charles County Youth Orchestra have gone on to study at excellent universities, including the University of Maryland, University of North Carolina Greensboro, Georgetown University, and Washington and Lee University.

  • For those not pursuing a career in music, CCYO inspires a devotion to the arts, preparing young musicians for a lifetime of arts participation and patronage.

  • CCYO is proud to offer financial assistance to those who qualify.

  • Your tax-deductible donation supports the Charles County Youth Orchestra organization. Also, your employer may be interested in the visibility gained by supporting CCYO.
