Since 2012, Charles County Youth Orchestra has gained an enviable reputation for the range of performance opportunities and training of young musicians in the art of orchestral playing. In addition to concerts, students have the opportunity to perform to study with guest coaches, and at many community events.

Alumni of Charles County Youth Orchestra have gone on to study at excellent universities, including the Eastman School of Music, Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Maryland, Howard University, Towson University, and Georgetown University.

As part of a superb training, students experience development in the area of teamwork, leadership abilities, time management, and critical thinking skills.

CCYO allows students to study under exceptional directors, who bring decades of artistic training and experience to each rehearsal.

For those not pursuing a career in music, CCYO inspires a devotion to the arts, preparing young musicians for a lifetime of arts participation.
